In this music video, there is a story of a boy who is gay and is trying to go through his life like any other young teenager. He goes through the struggles of his dad finding out about his sexuality and he runs away from home and stays at his friends house (who he has a crush on). After he spends the night, his friends dad walks in on him sleeping with his son, the boy then runs out of the house, it appears as though the dad is disappointed but not angry. The teen is then bullied at school for being gay, thus bringing him to the point of suicide. He is then helped by one of his teachers who accepts him for who he is. This music video represents the struggles of gay people in everyday society.
Construction Of Representations In News
In this news clip of a school shooting 5 years ago at Sandy Hook Elementary School, it is constructed by following the rules of a story being newsworthy. One of these rules is the negativity of the news as it contains a school being attacked by a 20 year old male fatally wounding 20 children. Another rule this news follows is that at the time it is very new and came out very shortly after the shooting had taken place. As this was 5 years ago, school shootings in America was quite rare so when this news came out it was a unusual event to take place, however America has suffered countless school shootings since.

Analysing My Advert
Target Audience : The target audience for my advert is towards men from the age of 16 - 30. The psychographic audience is mainly towards men with aspirations as the product is not high end and the men might not want to spend a ridiculous amount of money on a product. The product also appeals towards active males as it protects from the heat, so when the males are sweating when they are working out.
The 48 hours also attracts people on a budget or people travelling around as it gives then a long time protection.
The background also represents how the advert is mainly targeted towards men as red has connotations of power and danger.
Furthermore, the advert has a catch line which may impact the person seeing the advert telling them that they will take the spot if they use this spray, giving them confidence

Codes and Conventions of film posters
In this movie poster, it includes a billing block which proves this is a movie poster. The tomorrow is highlighted representing from the background, that there might not be a tomorrow. Furthermore, usually a human's eye starts from the left to the right, and the main actor's name, Tom Cruise, who is very famous is on the left. However, Tom Cruise appears on the right of the poster, and the other main actor is on the left, creating equality. It is also represents the action genre with the actors holding weapons and wearing armour.

Advert Analysis
In this advert the man is holding a lot of cigarettes which are in the shape of a gun, which gives off connotations of danger and suicide, this shows that smoking is basically committing suicide.
This is to raise awareness on how dangerous smoking can be.
The target audience of this advertisement is to people who are heavy smokers in attempt to make them quit smoking.
Furthermore, the black background has connotations of death and danger, further highlighting the dangers of smoking.
In this ad, the black background highlights the seriousness of what the man did. Also Nike did this believing the audience would be serious about the ad but at the same time a little "sporty" as the ad is still a Nike advertisement.
It also shows how confident nike are in their product that the person doesn't have to wear their product.
This ad also has connatations of sophistication.

The denotation of this image is that there is a heinz ketchup bottle sliced up into tomato slices on a red background. The message of this image is that there is only pure tomatoes in their products.
The sliced up tomatoes has connotations of the bottle only containing tomatoes and no other ingredients. The red background has connotations that the heinz tomato ketchup bottle only has tomatoes in it and the red colour of the background implies that again, there is only tomatoes in the heinz ketchup bottle.

Target Audience : One of the targets are people from the age group from 16-24 year olds as the movie contains many special effects and popular actors, it also includes many games.
However the movie can also appeal towards an older audience, in particular people born in the 80's as the movie contains a lot of 80's pop culture. It also contains games that were popular in the 80's.
Target Audience : For this specific video it is a music video by Katy Perry so it might stereotypically be aimed more towards females, more towards the younger side (from ages of 10-18)
However this can also appeal to males or to the older audiences but the music video is mainly targeted towards these ages not necessarily the actual audience.
